When we received the RPF (request for proposal) from the Cedar Falls Public Library on August 17, 2022, we knew it would be a special project. Not only were we excited about potentially working with such a vital local institution–but the challenges presented by creating branding, messaging, and a new website for a library got our creative wheels turning immediately. How does one develop a concise, specific brand and message when the audience is literally…everyone?
When we found out in October that we’d won the project, well, “excited” is an understatement. There was much rejoicing in the hallowed halls of 206A Main Street, but we also knew we had a lot of work ahead of us. Though we didn’t know it at the time, it would turn out to be one of the most joyful, rewarding, projects in our history. It was so iconic and complex, in fact, that instead of doing our normal case study write-up, we decided it deserved a video.
