But there are almost always things that can be approved upon, and one way to determine some of those is by doing something called a SWOT analysis. “SWOT” stands for…
O – Opportunities
You can do this exercise by yourself – but doing it with your whole team can be really helpful too. Basically you just arrange the words in a box, and list things about your company that fall into each category.
- Strengths are things you’re already good at.
- Weaknesses are things you’re not good at.
- Opportunities are things you might be able to do well, but aren’t doing yet.
- Threats are things that get in the way of your success that you may or may not have any control over.
So there you have it – a relatively quick way to figure out some new things to do to keep your business fresh and relevant to your customers and your selves.
